AHAL projects are purposeful, cost-effective and enriching for the lives of the occupants.

AHAL were incorporated in June 2015 following the amalgamation of N W Ayres Architect and Martin Haynes Architect Ltd. AHAL are a Chartered Practice. Both directors are members of the Royal Institute of British Architects with a combined architectural experience of over 50 years.

We have worked on projects in a number of different sectors for a wide range of clients primarily based in the southwest region, stretching up the A-38 corridor from Plymouth to Exeter including the South Hams.

Our Plymouth offices, located in the Mount Batten Watersports Centre, give us great views over The Cattewater. Our printing facilities output A4 up to A0 and we regularly print documents and drawings for other businesses upon request. Our main drafting software is AutoCAD LT.

The core objective of AHAL has always been quality design. From our first meeting with a client, we establish the initial project brief and identify the client’s needs. Our architectural services focus on developing project objectives, quality objectives, project outcomes and sustainability goals.

The progression to construction then goes through the three stages of design: Concept design, Spatial Coordination and Technical design.

The construction phase involves contract administration, site inspections, certification, building handover and building in-use monitoring.

We have a wealth of skill and knowledge from over 50-years of joint experience
